Citizen Coin is a free app and website that allows organisations to reward people for taking part in community activity using virtual Citizen Coins. These coins can then be spent on discounts at participating local businesses, helping turn participation into local spend and visible community impact.  

The session will be delivered by Peter Kemp from Citizen Coin, alongside a Nova Advisor, who will guide attendees through how the platform works and how it can be used locally.  

During the session, we’ll share practical examples of how organisations can reward participation across a wide range of activities, including:  

• Volunteering
• Meetings and civic participation  
• Training and skills development  
• Wellbeing and health activities
• Active travel initiatives  
• Mentoring and peer support
• Youth engagement  
• Surveys and consultation  

You’ll also learn how Citizen Coin supports social value, does not affect benefits, and operates with fully anonymised, GDPR-compliant data.  

This session is ideal for organisations looking to recognise participation, increase engagement, and demonstrate social value in a practical, joined-up way.
